Note: Bryn Mawr Elementary was named a state "School of Distinction" October 10th, 2007. Bryn Mawr Elementary is among the top 5 percent of elementary, middle and high schools in the state according to Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Terry Bergeson. This award was given to 86 schools this year. Each of these schools met the state's learning targets on last spring's Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) in reading and math. The winning schools also showed substantial improvement on the WASL's reading and math sections, over a six-year period.
